Michael Greenhalgh

Michael is a member of the Criminal, Mental Health & Court of Protection, and Regulatory Crime teams.

Michael was a solicitor for ten years before transferring to the Bar in 2004. His practical approach and open, friendly manner means he is often asked for again and again by people he has represented. As a former partner in a very large firm of solicitors he is mindful of the pressures on solicitors in the current climate and works effectively with them and the resources available to provide the best possible results.

He has represented individuals with mental health problems for many years and is approved by the Courts to provide representation to those unfit to stand trial. A proven advocate over many years, his experience in dealing with sexual offences has seen him appointed to the specialist CPS Rape Panel.

Also, his experience of defending drivers facing prosecution has seen him appear before the Crown and Magistrates Courts all over the country.
